Description
One thing I’ve always fantasized about in the flats of the Mid-West was watching a thunderstorm. And one night driving through South Dakota I witnessed everything and more that I wanted. Being in one of the most deescalate places I’ve experienced, we got off the highway (that’s straight for hundreds of miles) and took some dirt roads until while I was driving a bolt of lightning lit up everything and it was so magnificent that I stopped there and watched/shot the rest as it slowly grew distant from me. It’s incredible how far you’re able to see a storm when there’s nothing in the way.
